I am looking at purchasing a griddle soon, but I cant decide between cast iron or stainless. I know the stainless griddles are $HIGH as Giraffe balls, but are they worth it? What say you Food Board?

I use my grandma's cast iron every day that she bought in the 50s. Cast iron is amazing.

If it is going to be outside I would go stainless steel. Kinda wish I had gone that route over my blackstone.

I bought a lodge double sided cast iron two burner griddle about a year ago. It's fine but if I had to buy again I'd go with something else

I have an older stainless one that will start to sort of twist/warp if I keep it going across two burners for too long.

Get a blackstone with the hinged cover/lid. Throw a cover on it if exposed to the elements. I've had one on my screened porch for over two years now. Just scrape it off and apply some oil while it is still warm. No issues with rusting. I'm about to upgrade to a larger one now that they're making those with the lid. I didn't want to deal with a separate cover to take off and on, the ones that were basically a big metal plate with handles on the sides.
