That's what makes it bad, IMHO. It looks like they literally just took the stock of stripes they use on the gold pants and sewed it on the white pants.

I don't necessarily mind the look on the gold pants as it is barely noticeable. On the white pants it's never looked right.

yep, it's the same stripe as the white, but the contrast of the gold pants makes it less noticeable from a distance, but we've had the small gold stripe inside the purple since the 90s. Not really sure why they changed it when they did but it's always irrationally bothered me. Oddly enough, the white helmets also have that same stripe while the gold helmets don't.

As you can see here. It was a normal triple stripe in 1989 and then different in 1990
