This topic has been talked about way too much and i know im setting myself up for about half of the board to destroy this post, but here we go: J. Lee is the starting quarterback for LSU, he is a young 19 year old kid who is doing his best to win games for LSU every saturday. Next, many of you will prob propose the idea that we are hurting the kid by playing him, and that Les Miles should play Jefferson. To that my answer is that we are not attending practice everyday, and i promise you that not a single person on this board wants to win more than les miles, and i guarantee you that he is going to play the QB that he believes gives his team the best chance to win. LSU is 6-3 and has lost to some very tough teams, I was proud of my team when they won a championship last year and i am just as proud of them today. Geaux Tigers!

Flyn was doing alot better and they still let RP run some snaps in close games. BUT I understand what you are saying.

True. There is something that we dont know about that JJ does poorly in practice. Besides reading Ds and lack of playbook know how.

No nukes from me.

I think when Hatch was not injured that Miles was unfair to Lee by keeping him in. But now, Miles' hands are tied. Lee is the guy. Love him or hate him. He is the best option for now. Every team goes throw growing pains. This is our year. Remember when OU lost Rhett Bomar in a scandal and had to start that rookie Sam Bradford. The fans were calling for him to be benched. But, you couldn't drag him from their cold dead hands now.

We all need to laugh a little, even when we want to cry, and know that this kid will be the future and it may not be so bleak.

Hey, who is starting the pick 6 pool?

+1

He is just a young kid in college. Think about what it would do to you if 90+ thousand people booed at you when you were 19.

I dont think anyone wants JJ to take all of the snaps and completely disregard Lee, but at this point it makes the most sense to split some of the snaps up and get jefferson some time. The sooner we get these guys on the field, the sooner we get over these youthful mistakes and can return to glory

I hope Lee improves. It is really frustrating to see a topnotch team taken down largely by one player. The bottomline is there is not really a better option at QB right now. If there was, I'm sure the coaches would be doing it. Without improvement by Lee, I'm not sure LSU can beat Ole Miss, and Troy and Arky are not in the bag. I just hope the players don't stop having confidence in the QB and coaches - that is what will kill us. KC.

Lee is the guy, but JJ needs some more reps...what happens if Lee goes down, then we have to rely on JJ and probably be one dimensional.

I was watching the replay last night on Cox. J.Lee made some AWESOME throws. His picks did hurt like never before, but his arm strength is there and his accuracy will only get better. Throwing into double coverage, in the endzone, in overtime, just shows you he's young. This kid is going to be stellar next year. I can't wait!!!!!!!

Guys, it's plain and simple. J. Jefferson does not know the play book well enough to play. Lee was here all last year, on the sidelines, learning the offense. Crowton's offense is not one that can be learned in one season. Jefferson will not take the field on a regular basis until he knows the playbook in and out...and my prediction is that will not be this year.

OK, you may be right, but why would coach say he would play against tulame and the gumps if he doesn't know enough of the playbook???

what was he going to do send him in and let him run the 2 plays he knows over and over????
