Ok ok. Yall are correct. I quit. For laughs next time I will ask specifically for a "Cuban-American with an Orginal Chinese Concept and Cajun idea stolen "Cajun Microwave"" to roast a Damm pig. Hahaha. Now, I'm confused with the next one. How would I go about asking to buy a "jambalaya pot" or "gumbo pot"? What about a pirouge? I'm only guessing Cajuns stole those ideas and labaled them with different names.

I don't see that. But if it makes you feel better. Go read the links I posted. They are not made in China or Cuba. That being the La Caja China. And the second link is for the actual "Cajun microwave" made in Louisiana. I originally asked for a "Cajun microwave" not something made in Cuba or China. The "Cajun microwave" is actually a different concept with more features. One example is that it allows the meat cook evenly in a fully enclosed box. The "Cajun Microwave" sets itself apart in many ways from the La Caja China. Also a quote from the first link states that Cubans actually label anything that is unique or weird as "Chinese".

Stadium Rat:
I rarely post on here because of people, like you, who barely do research before posting. You are correct in one aspect the La Caja China does have a history of Chinese and Cuban influences. I found a quote from the original inventor/maker of La Caja China
"I always get asked about how it started and how it got its name. It’s called “The Chinese Box” for a reason. Back in 1955, my grandfather saw a similar box being used by a Chinese family in Havana’s Chinatown. But the idea of creating the box wasn’t discussed until over 30 years later".
He is actually from Cuba and as you can see he got the idea from a Chinese section of Havana while growing up. The La Caja China is actually made in America with American plywood.
In fact check out the following article on the history of La Caja China.
La Caja China History
Being Cajun we often take ideas and modify them to work with the resources we have. Over the years the Cajun culture has been extremely exploites due to Hollywood. However, in some way of fashion there has always been a "Cajun microwave" in the heart of Cajun Country.
With that being said Louisianan Al Simon has made his own "Cajun Microwave" with his very unique concept of using Louisiana made Aluminum and Louisiana Cypress trees. Al Simon Cajun Microwave

Cajun Microwave (Buy/Rent)?
Posted by bgee22 on 6/30/14 at 8:55 am
I am looking to purchase a cajun microwave soon for a family function. HOwever I do not want to pay for a brand new one. I have tried to even rent one but no options exist. Atleast that I know of. A have called Chris's Speciality Meats (like many posters suggested about 3 years ago) and they said that they do not rent them.
Can somebody lead me in the right direction? ALso if you personally have one I would love to purchase or rent it from you for a weekend in July. Thanks Guys/Gals
