LSU is hoping the NCAA goes easy on them in basketball and more importantly football by firing Wade. By doing so, all of the people involved in all the football & basketball allegations are no longer at LSU. It would be a lot more enticing to the NCAA to punish the school if all those people were still here.

Schools have been hammered for violations long after the coaches or players had left the program.
