I really hope he makes the starting lineup and is an everyday contributor let Jared jones play in spot roles and come in hot next year

I think we see him at 1B tomorrow and/or Wednesday.

Man y'all are quick to give up on Jared Jones. Kid was tearing the seams off the ball
I agree Beloso needs more ABs but that freshman is in a rough patch but was a monster out of the gate.
I'd rather Jones bat in the lineup then Jobert

Giving him a day off isn't giving up on him.

Doubt the OP’s intentions was just giving him the day off tomorrow. He said play him in spots to get him ready for next year.
I’d take that as the OP is giving up on Jones as a starter for the year.

Nobody wishes Jared would fail l just want Cade to succeed

Remember the opponents we just played. Don't get too ahead of yourself. Basically hitting bp the whole weekend

Y’all are looking at this too complicated. Whoever is hitting the best should play. Right now that’s Beloso. Whether it’s Jared Jones or Billy Bob. He should have a chance to start.

And Beloso has been hitting the scrub arms a whole lot better than Jones or Jobert has this weekend.

The immediate butthurt that ensues on this board whenever anyone mentions Cade Beloso and playing time in the same sentence, is ridiculous. I thought we were all in agreement that there would be battles for playing time all year long, and that this was a good thing, and also that the best man at a given moment should always get the nod over whoever supposedly has more potential.
Jared Jones, if he loses his spot in the lineup, will have an opportunity to win it back. But it should always be earned. He got off to a hot start. That's great. Pearson proved himself over a much longer stretch last year, and against much better competition than what we're currently facing, but I don't see anyone hammering the coach for sitting him while he's struggling, the way they hammer dissenting opinions over Jones. Jones is clearly struggling. Give Beloso, or even Frey, who's looked impressive in his limited at bats, a chance to start. And if they rake, you keep them in. If they don't, we know we've got plenty of capable options.
It'll work itself out, but LSU is not obligated to marry itself to Jared Jones being in the lineup. "Started hot" does not give you a free ticket for the rest of the year. So how about this board just cool it whenever someone talks about Beloso, or replacing Jones in the lineup, instead of throwing tantrums over reasonable opinions. Let the best man win, and if that's Jones, or someone else, you know whoever it is, is going to have to earn it, and that's nothing to be upset about.

Jones needs a break. Give him a couple days off. He has 35 AB's with 18K's. Right now SEC pitching will eat him up.

So you’re saying by sitting Jones, he will be a better player next year. That’s an interesting proposal.
