re: Why don't suburbs like Central and Walker ban high density developments?

The mayor in the Chicago suburb we lived in for a while lost his re-election bid because he got a huge subsidized housing complex approved for a major regional developer. It was next door to a higher end neighborhood.

He now works for said developer.
