Central at least has higher standards. No DSLD or Horton.

All of the crackhead are from Central Woods. It's been there for over 30 years.

Very true. In general, single family homes are of high quality in Central.

However, that new apartment complex (The Reserve at Shoecreek) is filling fast with section 8 vouchers. Not even close to the type of residents and development it was proposed to be.

Hopefully with a new mayor and entirely new city council since the shoecreek debacle, we can prevent another mistake like this going forward.

Make no mistake though, Central has far better safeguards against shitty development than Livingston and Ascension. Question is how long will it remain that way.

Is there anyway to take away section 8 once it’s started?

That's false.

Not long now that the cancer is in the middle of it.

Once the school ratings start to drop you can hang it up.

Cheaper home builders have become an epidemic in Ascension Parish. And these cheaper homes attract undesirables. From my personal observations in short time they begin their decay. I had a patient complain to me about how fast the DSLD development they bought into had declined. She stated within two years of completion there were significant HOA violations nothing was being done about. Our Parish Council pretty much lets developers do what they want. Hence, we have plans to move out of the GBR area to a more rural area.
