There have been studies that show that people gain more strength and muscle mass taking test while not training than those that train naturally
I’m hoping this is just poorly worded because it makes zero sense

Please link these. Anecdotal but I've known plenty of people that have taken steroids and sitting on your arse will do nothing to get muscle. The guys on steroids generally work much harder in the gym than the guys not on them. And it shows

Unless you watch the speed at which they build muscle it can be hard unless you see some telltale signs like:

This is probably the immediate dead give away.
I am in my 50's. I get accused all the time of being on gear, but 100% natural. Not even on TRT. Just put in hard work and honestly got blessed with genetics. My dad was a freak and although I never asked him, I am sure he was on. I watched him rep 405 on incline when I was in high school. However, in my early 20's in college for a couple of years I did several cycles prior to going to OCS in the Marines which kinda forced me out of being a lifter. Did I put on mass? For sure. Gear makes you want to lift (and frick) like crazy. My problem is I didn't really know what I was doing. I didn't eat correctly for starters or lift like I should either. In all fairness, I would love to do another cycle or 2 knowing what I know now but then the rational side of me kicks in and makes me realize I hung those cleats up a long time ago.
