The rule was handled correctly, never said it wasn't. But if you can't see the blind spot of the rule, I don't know what to tell you.

The ump suspends games, not the teams. Ole Miss just didn't help things out.
It could have bit them in the arse too if they had finished the 7th down 5-4 and not gotten two more at-bats.
