My A/C guy on the Northshore likes Amana ( I think the reason was they have a warehouse nearby, so getting parts is easy and they have a good warranty program)

Amana is made by Daikan, same manufacturer as Goodman HVACs, but is a better line of equipment with more features and a better warranty. Getting parts and the warranty is a strong consideration when choosing a HVAC brand.
