Well if she brought proof of a legitimate threat of violence to the police and they did nothing about it, I’d say she has a legit complaint.

OH look the murderer is a black guy with a record and the murdered Marine is a white guy.

Scott Adams was telling the truth.

I wonder why she complained rather than her son? Something is missing from the story.

Police are not the guarantor of anyone's safety.

(Note: this response isn’t directed toward the author of this quote)

What are the consequences of a threat of violence in a free society?

We can be free. Or we can have serious consequences to threats that would have prevented this murder..

Remember, not all threats of violence are carried out, and most are in the heat of the moment.

Yet both idle threats and real threats will be treated to the same standard.

By current laws, the guy who made the threat would have still had the opportunity to carry out the actions he threatened.

And depending on the timeline between the threat and the murder, there was little that could be done other than delaying the events that happened.

So to those of you who request authorities do more than what is currently required by law…

what do you want?

Freedom?

Or persecution of Freedom?

Because any of you who make off handed remarks or empty threats whether jokingly or not will be held to the same standard.

Whether or not any of you realize it, you’re either arguing for or against freedom based on the topic of this thread.
