Not little league….

Btw it’s all youth competitive endeavors now a days…..

Small % of kiddy ball is “little league”…. Simply call it all money ball

That's what I'm dreading for my lil baw.

When I was a kid me and the same ~120ish kids played football in the fall, basketball in the winter/spring, baseball in the spring/summer and soccer in the late summer at the same playground our entire childhood before high school. There was one select team for each sport that would play the other playgrounds around jefferson parish. That was it. None of us went pro, but we all had fun. We had practice twice during the week and ONE game on the weekends all at the same neighborhood playground and most kids arrived by bike.

From what I can tell and what I hear some of the older people at work say, this is basically dead and the average kid is only focusing on one or MAYBE 2 sports by the time they are 9 or 10 and you're traveling all over the place half the year.

I have a friend who has a 9 year old boy and I think his baseball team has tournaments set from Texas to Florida this year. I don't think the kid has ever played organized football or basketball. frick that.
