Do you actually think it's realistic to think it's possible LIV will destroy the PGA? If you want to say that it's possible LIV will eventually become successful themselves, yes there's a way that can happen, but there is no path that destroys the PGA

Maybe they won't destroy it completely, but if LIV ever gets legit OWGR points, then watch the exodus then. Most of the players that have exited the PGA are either at the end of their career or have already won a major so they are exempted for other majors for a while.

I think the fact that LIV doesn't offer legit OWGR points is what is keeping guys on the PGA Tour.

I will agree that is their last potential bullet in the chamber

But with as weak as the support has been, I’m not sure even that could work now. If that would have happened 6 months ago I think LIV would have “won”

At this point I think LIV is what it is. The players they got this year were pretty underwhelming and definitely aren't attracting any new viewers. We will have to wait and see if the CW broadcast will catch on and they are able to beat PGA events. But They got beat 10x on viewership this weekend against a pretty crummy field at the Honda Classic compared to the season opener for LIV.

Unless they are willing to drop giant money to move Rory, JT, Spieth, Scheffler, which would probably cost them $1B+ total, I don't see them drawing any better.

Also, just watched the Koepka episode of Full Swing, and that guy is so far from his peak he should probably hang it up like Smylie.

Double edge sword.

If there was a mass exodus to LIV, then it's all about the money and not the competition.

That could really turn the viewing public off. Players could be viewed as greedy and not in the best interest of the game.

The biggest complaint about LIV now is that it's not viewed as a real competition since it has no cut.

Fans want the players to earn their way in golf.
