Because of genetics, his parents were world class athletes, and Mondo has been a pole vaulter since he was 3 yrs old. He had a PV pit in his backyard and trained daily. I think he will clear 21’ by the time his career is over. He could easily compete for another 10 years and is arguably the greatest T&F athlete in the world right now.
