But if he does have another 40 game season next year and you punt on him with a trade that returns 30 cents on the dollar, what's the point?

You go from injured team that has a chance to be a title contender when healthy to healthy team that has no chance to be a title contender.

If ZION actually plays long term, then he can stay long term.

Waiting for him to heal this long is absolutely ridiculous!

Talk with the N.Y. Knicks and see what you can get for him now.

Yea I mean shel covered that . . . and I don’t know what it means. Other than if we get another sub 50 game season from Zion next year you need to turn the page on thinking this group can win a title. Does that mean shipping Zion for pennies? If those pennies are expiring contracts maybe.

Yup our cart is firmly attached to the thoroughbred that is Zion. There’s maybe 5-10 players in the league that give us the ceiling Zion does, and they aren’t being traded. Keep building with quality role players and cheap depth, and when Zion if we catch a lightning in a bottle season of Zion we win a title.
