Did you know that Burrwood and Pilottown were names of actual towns in Plaquemines Parish? They're now awash in Gulf sludge.
The same kind of "sea level rise" is inundating this boat.

Some years ago there was an article in the NYT's Science section on sea level rise. A newly minted young scientist studied satellite images over several years and documented reluctance noting that it was increasing. He concluded that was due to sea level rise.

In the back pages of the same section was a long article on the amount of damage that nutrias were doing to the Chesapeake water sheds swamp grasses with thousands of acres being denuded.
