I went from using the Callaway ERC to these new Mizuno's I just picked up and noticed I was getting a noticable difference on distance and spin around the green..

Is it the ball?..Possibly

A bit of pep in my step over a new product.. also possible..

I've stopped trying to figure out this game and just kinda go with it and play the shots that unfold in front of me..

Technology gets better and better, our scores generally stay the same. It is a fickle game. Good one day, terrible the next, or in my case good one hole and terrible the next.

THIS^^
I learned to play golf at 15. Got to a 10 hdcp in about 2 years. Off the shelf Spaulding golf clubs with persimmon woods, and a sleeve of TopFlite's.
46 years later, I have been fitted for clubs, better tech, better balls, "smarter" ..... and ...... I'm a 9 hdcp. All that for 1 stroke!!!

Convinced that golf balls don't make that big a difference until you have a certain swing speed. I've shot in the 70's with RockFlite's, and in the 70's with TP5s. More often than not, it's not the ball.

God I love this game.
