Yes, the image of having one of the worst basketball teams among major conference schools is much more preferable. Perhaps Woodward should consult Pat Forde and Dan Wetzel before making any future hires. We don’t want those losers to be upset.

Gotta say I agree with most of what you are saying. Still don't know if Beard is the guy you want. I think it is pretty obvious that despite what the fans might want or care about, Woodward had his own agenda. I don't think our AD gives a you know what about basketball. He just wanted a coach who would do what he was told and win half his SEC games to keep the heat off. Well he miscalculated on the win part didn't he? The thing that has turned me off of McMahon, besides his lousy team, is how the guy has no personality. He is wrapped tighter than a tamale and doesn't relax at anytime. How is a guy like that supposed to be a good recruiter or inspire a team?
