I know, but credulity is strained to the point of breaking.

Let's take the U.S. experience in Vietnam - KIA was about 48k, WIA was about 305K, and MIA was about 2300. Throw in another 10K non-combat deaths in theater, and you have something around 375k casualties for the entire war, from the U.S. perspective and the vast majority of those were spread out from about mid 1965 to mid 1971 (tapering off sharply after that). The bell curve for those topped in 1968 with casualties that year being roughly 7 to 10 times that of 65 and 71. So, with that, do folks really believe that Russia is suffering casualties at a greater rate than the U.S. was during the very peak of the Vietnam War (1968)? Or are they reading propaganda reports?

I mean, I get it. This is a mechanized, conventional war between European nations armed with strike aircraft, tanks, artillery, etc. But 1000 KIA a day? The U.S. only had about 2500 KIA for D-Day, FFS...
