It's a USB 3.0 dock. Chances are it requires a driver and/or additional software to work properly. I believe you probably also have to connect both monitors to the dock for it to work in an extended configuration, not one to the laptop and the other to the dock.

thx, so if i remove the dock is there a way to make this work from the 1 HDMI output from my laptop directly?
