Are you? Seems like San Fran sure does run the ball a lot. I never said they run the ball for sake of running the ball. I said they run the ball because it’s what’s effective for Shanny with his current personnel (both offensively and defensively) and it is. It’s worked a lot for him. They didn’t have this style of offense when he was in Atlanta. They were top 5 in passing offense in the two years he was there. If he had that version of Matt Ryan in San Fran, they’d most likely be in the same category. But he doesn’t. He’s had average QBs so he’s focused their offensive identity on having an effective rushing attack.

But it’s whatever. This is your typical stance since I’ve been posting here, going on 10 years. You never admit when you’re wrong, regardless of what board you’re on. I don’t have the time to go 20 pages arguing about whose stats are better to prove whose argument is stronger

we will just agree to disagree. This argument turned more into not believing in Carmichael and DA more than a lack of belief in Carr, which is fine and is a stance I’m more likely to get behind. If you think DA and Carmichael are this bad than fricking Pat Mahomes himself wouldn’t win shite here while they’re coaching

Sure, but that's irrelevant to the discussion. They run the ball efficiently. They pass the ball even more efficiently.

We do not run the ball efficiently.

Running a lot when you run it inefficiently is a bad recipe.

They would have it in San Fran if the injury gods didn't hate them. Jimmy G had some big passing games before he tore his ACL.

Purdy was slinging it to end this year, in fact.

They traded all the draft capital to try improve their passing options (jury is out). He wants to pass, but has been insanely unlucky with QB injuries.

All you have argued is there is some similarity because of quantity of rushes, which doesn't tell you anything.

I'm discussing the quality of rushes, to compare apples to apples (or, more accurately, to show the lack of comparison).

What do you think is more important: quantity or quality of rushes? Why do you think I posted the EPA/play for the last 10 super bowl teams?

There is ONE outlier after that 2012 Ravens team: the one-armed Manning Bronco year. Otherwise, a top-10 EPA/play offense is basically mandatory to make a Super Bowl.

You have it backwards. A healthy Carr on SF is a Super Bowl favorite, with their talent and coaching.

A healthy Carr on this team is a borderline playoff team., with our talent and coaching.

*ETA: the biggest difference is they could afford that gamble. Can our franchise? Meh
