I've got a plane ole black syn 870 here at the house that hasn't been used in a long time. Not sure why, but kinda want to convert it to a tactical home defense style gun. If nothing else, my oldest kiddo will enjoy helping along the way.
There seems to be many, many options. Not sure where to start first.
Recommendations, good or bad? Parts or specific items to look for?

I had the same thing and put the Magpul forend on it. And then installed swivel points for a sling. And, finally, bought an 18" barrel for it. Simple work.

Mesa tactical is your one stop shop for your 870. I suggest a 4 shot side saddle. The mesa is billet aluminum. Don't get the cheap plastic stuff.
