I'm closer to the SIL in the Army; however, I like them both equally.
The SIL who is a Gunny, he's a tip-of-the-spear kind of guy. For a long time, he was an instructor in the Marine school of infantry. At work, he's 100% a gunny, no-nonsense don't frick with me. At home, he's a great father to the grandkids.
