Ok that's more like it. That was more money than I would have guessed they were losing from streaming. But in fairness, they were expecting to lose money for years before it started turning a profit. If they are bleeding like that by 2024 when they were expecting to start making a profit, I'd agree that the streaming platform is in trouble.

True, but you also have to account for the fact that it basically launched at the height of covid and lockdowns, which is probably the most ideal launching pad that a streaming content provider could ever ask for.

I'm speculating at this point, but in addition to the millions of people in India who are basically subscribed for free, you likely have millions of households who signed up during covid and just haven't bothered to cancel despite not necessarily consuming the content with any real enthusiasm since some of the big early projects that put Disney+ on the map, like The Mandalorian.
