I remember when my brother was younger this show would be on in the background and I always remember thinking "what a wholesome and fun show that depicts a unified black family with great values"

I heard about what they had done in this reboot. I watched the episode and it was sad. I was sad that the writers/producers decided to indoctrinate kids.

Some of the issues with the show.

Biracial homosexual relationship raising two kids. I dont care about biracial, but it does seem forced. The homosexual agenda is disturbing.

The insistence that slaves built America and that descendants deserve reparations is despicable. The fact that they tore down the "white gay dad" because he was a descendant of the slave owning man who founded the town was disturbing.

The people who wrote this show disgust me. They ruined a great kids show with political mumbo jumbo.

I was a huge fan of the original. I grew up on the show. It was great family friendly entertainment. They did have a black history month episode in the original dealing with racism, but they handled it so much better. It was very well done.

I was originally excited for the remake. I really was. But I hate to say they completely ruined one of my favorite childhood shows in multiple ways. I no longer watch, personally.
