Every proposed solution made the problem worse.
Every. Single. One.
The public health authorities did incalculable damage to our economy and to trust in medical science. Not a single suggestion was realistic, nor based in anything other than tunnel vision created by spending one’s entire life in a lab, as opposed to in real life. And those were the ones without vested financial interests in the fake cures.
The reason I think that this editorial was so significant bc it recognizes the utter hubris that resulted in the calamity. Because in the end the hubris of ppl like Dr. Fauci and their assumption that they could not be questioned- was the one of seven deadlies that harmed society the most.
It takes a strong person to recognize and publicly admit such a thing. He should be commended.
