What’s been so bad about the recall effort?
Well to start there's an strict and tight timeline to get the signatures required. The clock officially starts when they file the paperwork with the state.
They filed the paperwork and then revealed that they didn't actually have a plan, but would come up with something in the following weeks.
Then their first maybe official maybe unofficial signing events took place in some of the whitest and wealthiest parts of town. We can debate all day if something like that should matter, but in the real world optics matter. Everyone on earth knew Latoya and her crew would paint the effort as a racial issue of whites not being able to stand a black queen in power. The recall organizers played RIGHT into that narrative by going to uptown and lakeview before anywhere else.

Have no doubt someone will overlay the map of the city by demographic and recall signers.
Hope they also overlay with murder/crime map.
