Don't overuse, no sweat. Why are conservatives concerned with people harming themselves if they choose?

Because there has been a counter movement for decades now of marijauna proponents claiming there are absolutely no negative consequences with weed.

There obviously are potential negatives when mistreated (as the poster you replied to described well) and there needs to be proper education for that now that it is becoming legalized more and more.

I’ll never forget a few years ago when first legal in Vegas, I was flying through there, and I decided to go to a dispensary and try something out. Stressed to the clerk that I was new to this, and asked him if there was anything I should steer clear of until I knew how I would react. He acted like none of it was a big deal, I would be good as long as I took small amounts, blah blah blah. Bought some cookies, ate about 1/3 of one as he suggested, and proceeded to have one of the worst days of my life….

Edibles are clearly not for me, and as Ive since learned they are basically a complete different drug than if you smoked it. But you need responsible people in the business and in the dispensaries educating people on these things, not stoners going “it’s all good man… nobody has ever OD’ed on weed bro!”

Why does it matter?

Let people be uninformed as long as their dysfunction harms themselves.
