Most bigs in basketball take much longer to develop than guards. Recruiting and ranking them often times comes down to size and ceiling. More often than not your big guys need a few years in college to develop their game. Plus many of them play against much smaller kids on regular basis in high school which hurts their development because they excel with size alone and it’s a different story when u get to college playing against people your own size and older often times.
