It's finally out in the open, they needed another big catalyst like this to keep pushing it on the agenda. We have been saying this for years.. The FED hates it when local LEO will not "enforce" the crazy crap that they decree. Especially when it comes to 2A stuff. They want to do away with local LEO so they can control all enforcement.

A legitimate constitutional crisis will result. Even talking about this is a major States' Rights violation. The reach and scope of the federal government was drafted to be so incredibly miniscule and finite, and yet has grown to all-encompassing right under our noses. Totalitarianism is one knock at the door away.
