Press on sidelines

In the 4th quarter, some LSU official decided to empty the press box of all the reporters and put them on the sidelines. For those of us who sit in the lower seats, this effectively blocks our view of at least part of the field. Is this what we pay tradition fund for? To view the fat rear ends of reporters? I would hope this does not become some tradition....

I've never understood this. Not what you're asking, but why do people want to pay money to sit on the first few rows of the stadium?
You can't see anything except for the backs of the players.

Not to sound like a jack arse, but the press on the sideline of a major sporting event is nothing new and if you don't like it, you should spend a little extra money and get better seats than "field level" ... those are the worst seats in the house for a football game.
Shall we have the team and coaches that aren't in the game stand in the tunnel too so that they don't block the view of the game?

Actually they are approximately 10 yard line and not bad seats under normal conditions. The seats right behind the bench would surely be horrible. Additionally there is more space so that people are not always stepping on you or dumping food and drink.
Some press on the sideline is ok but hell the ones they put down there Saturday outnumbered the band and were wider than big Herman!!!
I spend plenty on these seats, TAF and tuition for two... No worries -- LSU gets more from me than uncle sam right now.
I expected Jackass replies but hey you make fair points.

Not behind the bench. Around 10 yd line -- decent view (especially on that end, no better view).
