We need a true pg and have cj fill that movement shooter role. Right now cj is the initial creator too much and is on ball too much, which an actual pg he would be relieved of those duties and would be the off ball guy this team so desperately needs.

Big problem there is you run into the CJ problem and why he wasn't exactly blowing up the market for his services.

Cj at the 2 means you are likely undersized and relying on BI/Zion to need to step up as defenders by a considerable amount.

Dyson is actually one of the better prospects to grow alongside CJ cause he can facilitate and defend 3 positions at a high level. He can already rather competently switch 4, and likely will grow into being switchable everywhere ala Jrue.....But his lack of an offensive arsenal or shooting is a problem.

Yup if Dyson could be a 13/5/5 guy who is an offensive threat, he is the ideal pg next to Cj. You cannot repeat Portland's issue with Cj and dame, an undersized backcourt...

Right now the issue is we have 3 undersized point guards.

I like Dyson growing into that point role, that would be ideal. Obviously he needs to continue to get better offensively, but he is already a better connector than CJ which is important to have with 2 of the three dominant scorers on the court playing.

In regards to Kira, the dynamic we haven’t seen is Kira with Zion, particularly against second units. I believe they complement each other and would wreak havoc.

Just seems to me...with Zion, BI and CJ...we don't really need a true PG as much as most other teams do. In fact, I have trouble imagining how much action a true PG would have with those 3 on the court with him. And, I consider this an advatageous situation to be in, since it allows us to find a relatively big, defensive minded player (like Dyson) to fill the other G position with CJ (for however long CJ is gonna hang on)...and heaven knows, we can certainly use the extra defensive help especially from a player that can adjust fairly well to guard multiple positions.

We've already got enough small Gs...and to be honest every one of them is a net negative when it comes to halfcourt defense, even CJ. So, bottom line, somebody teach Dyson or Herb to shoot open 3s at a 35% clip...or better yet...BOTH of them.

Then...we'll be good to go...uhh, as soon as somebody comes up with a cure for that humongus problem we have at the "5"!!!
