I’m opposed to the death penalty

I’m just curious as to why you’re against it? Personally, I think if someone premeditates a murder, which is generally what would prompt the death penalty, then they should expect to be on the hook for “equal”treatment as far as losing their life. Even so, the death penalty is most likely much more humane than how they dispatched their victim(s) plus they get to live a lot longer than their victim(s) did as the legal process plays out.

I’m against it as well

One reason, if a single innocent has ever been executed for crime they did not commit, it should be abolished.

I also think prison should be ‘hell on earth’.

.

Too many ghetto lawyers doing halfhearted incompetent work. Too many DAs and law enforcement lying or covering up facts to win a case. If justice could be applied fairly to ensure no one innocent was ever convicted I would be all for it. If you have ironclad, indisputable proof, I would be all for it. But, unlike anything else, once you make this error, there is no possibility of ever undoing it.

I used to be for death penalty- full stop.

Now, while I morally have no issue with it, I question whether it can ever be fairly implemented
