correct, they are typically cheaper than completed lowers and avoid and FFL transfer on top of all the other things people have mentioned. Takes about an hour to mill one out and that alone is typically worth the $45-50 I save doing it myself. Also a big fan of cerakoting and buying raw lowers saves a step.
