I think he'd be fine if he said what he really meant. I mean if he doesn't agree with a call or the way a route was run or just any critique, just say it.

But I can only imagine he might be pressured by his bosses or social influence.

God forbid someone speak their mind and people just interpret it as constructive criticism. No, they need to go and tweet about what someone else says and to make themselves feel more important.
