Like I said it's not for everyone, I would get bored spending a week in one city trying to act like that makes live like a local. If I want to sit around Ill go to the beach.

I’m all about moving and seeing different places but your itinerary is horrible. You need to plan it better. Move north to south at least. The issue is you are going to have a delay at some point and that’s going to frick up your entire schedule.

Do amsterdam, mont st michel, Paris, munich, etc.

Given that, OP personally I always recommend people go to multiple countries their first trip to get a taste. As said you aren’t getting everything in one or two weeks anyway. But there’s plenty to do all over Europe to stay in a location for a week or more so just figure out what you want.

Your beach comparison is not a good one. These are cities that are hundrerds of years old with many sites to see and things to do. The locals don't do those things. No offense, but with three young kids it just sounds misrerable. I think you'll find your actual travel times are much longer than you think with getting to the airport early, checking in and then going through customs in each country.

I can see why you wouldn't want to spend a week in the Tuscan countryside but in a city there are just so many things to do usually. Anyway, enjoy your trip.
