So he goes and sits, or he plays too early when he is not ready, which is what supposedly the family didn't want from the get go.

I think the point is he wants to play and also he will worst case scenario be the backup. So if Dart gets banged up or struggles then Howard comes in and has his shot. Where as at LSU he wasn't going to be the backup.

I will say I still think it was likely that Nuss transferred himself at Spring and that would have allowed for Howard to be the backup but he chose the scenario that was best for him. Best of luck to him. But as I said when it was first announced he was transferring that I am irritated that he went to an SEC West team. I really hate that he went to Ole Miss but don't blame him for leaving.

Incorrect. He's ok with sitting if he's the backup, which means he's taking meaningful reps during practices. By staying here is is either running the practice squad (and therefore not our own plays) or worse if the incoming freshman run that squad.

By transferring to a place where he is likely in second place, he gets to be engaged at practice and is a sprained ankle away from being the starter, neither of which he would have had at LSU.

But I don't expect this fanbase to think much deeper than "him transfer, him bad."
