It's in Marc Morano's book. A left wing enviro foundation funded by George Soros or someone like him started an essay contest for kids on saving the planet.
Greta won. The group approached her parents and asked to send her on some tours. They gave her parents tons of money so they were all in.
That group organizes her appearances and also did similar programs with little girls from other nations to make it planet wide. But none of the others got the press coverage that Greta did.
