Did they ever tie Pearl directly to it with paper or wire taps? If they had, he wouldn’t be there anymore.
Wade is different in that he not only got caught bragging about shite on tape (survivable since it was vague enough), but he then also got caught with a paper trail. You just can’t be that fricking stupid as a P5 head coach.

His assistants fell on the sword. Chuck Person and and Merl Code. Ok and those wire taps are not what Wade’s in trouble for. The judge threw them out in the court case involving Dawkins. Wade got caught being extorted by some ex players girlfriend. That’s kind of a broad brush but just saying the Dawkins thing is being conflated with what’s really happening.
