My oldest will be driving in a few years. I want to put him in the safest car/truck/SUV that's still cool enough for him not to get made fun of but also not insanely expensive.

It's a tough question.

My situation is a bit different since my son waited pretty long to get his permit…and here in MS you have to have it for a year before you get your real license.

I put in a deposit yesterday for a new Toyota for him, probably give it to him on his 17th birthday. He drives my manual car well, I think he’s going to love this one.
