So if a coach leaves for another program he can take every player with him if he wanted?

If I were the King and ultimate ruler of the NCAA, I would make it so that the only school a kid couldn’t go to would be the school that his former coach goes to. There could be exceptions, like if a coach gets fired and hired somewhere else. But a coach who voluntarily leaves for greener pastures (and $$$$$$$s) shouldn’t use his current players to fill the roster of his next destination, i.e., Caleb Williams and any of those kids from Jackson State.

a friend’s son (ironically a white dude) from Lubbock played for Deion @ JSU and transferred to Colorado with him. Not even a scholarship player.
