He seemed to be in pretty good shape last year (in May with JD) -
Reports say bacterial meningitis. May not be a direct casualty of rock and roll lifestyle.

His addiction was restoring old cars. His day job early in his career was in a garage. He led a healthy lifestyle

Actually he was a health nut and did NOT live, at least for a long time recently, the "rock and roll lifestyle". He somehow contracted Bacterial Meningitis. I'd be surprised to see if that has anything to do with the "rock and roll lifestyle". But, you never know.
