They did eliminate the "Junior High" campus that housed the 8th and 9th grades, so the space isn't there to increase to pre-Katrina enrollment.

I don't know much about them turning away or rejecting kids these days, but haven't been too involved with school since graduating.

Can’t speak for Rummel, but my kids elementary school is keeping enrollment at about 70% per-Katrina levels because they are intentionally keeping the student-teacher ratio down. Maybe Rummel is trying to do the same to better compete against the other Catholic HSs in the area?
