I want PSU to win, because I like Joe Pa and actually think they can win the NCG, and represent the Big 10 well, but if they lose at least we'll probably be Big 10 champs!

Yeah it's better to live vicariously through other teams when your team can't beat the other one on the field.

The reason you root for your conference is it helps YOUR TEAM. You know why a 1 loss Big 12 and 1 loss SEC team is guaranteed to get in over a 1 loss USC, PSU, etc? Because they have the toughest schedules due to their conferences being the best.
