In my bathroom I have a very small section of baseboard pulling away from the wall. It is the top pulling away. Everywhere else in the bathroom is fine, it is just one small section, is this a sign of a bigger problem or just cosmetic?

May have some moisture causing this.

You sure it is not the caulk shrinking?

We had this happen under a window in the living room once. The window was leaking and moisture crept down to baseboard making it warp and separate from wall. Not necessarily your issue, but could be. Is baseboard in question near window?

No but it’s by the shower. Could be caulk shrinking, but could be moisture as well. I’ll have to watch it closely.

Do you have MDF baseboards?

My baseboard ran behind the toilet. It was a pinhole leak in the copper water supply line that soaked the base plate over several days. I saw moisture at the brick weep holes on the exterior that caused me to remove the baseboard and find the leak. It wasn't the soldered fitting it was actually a pinhole leak in the 1/2" copper pipe after 25years.

Give it a good strong kick when the wife's not looking and see if it comes back off.
