The NFL will take care of this kid

You're just assuming this. He isn't vested, his healthcare for life does not have to be covered. A year from now when this isn't a news story anymore, will they? Doubtful.

so will everyone donating money to a guy with a salary of close to a million

No one has donated money to Hamlin. They donated money to his charity. It is not the same. Though, judging by your posts in this thread, I'm sure you think he'll just "steal" that money or whatever like your hero Trump does.

Not to mention any insurance policies he should have had on his ability to earn.

Minimum earning players like Hamlin rarely spend their money on these policies.

Hamlin has plenty to live a nicer life than the vast majority of Americans.

Unless the NFL gives him early vesting status, he will likely spend all of or more than the salary he has earned up to this point just on medical expenses to cover the repercussions of this injury for the rest of his life. That does not cover all of the other expenses required to live his life.

They've taken care of paraplegics, they will take care of him.

Your mom did a number on you, didn't she?

That's extremely stupid. Not surprising though. None of these guys should end up broke, but so many do. If he didn't have insurance...that's kind of his issue. Not mine, not yours, not the worlds issue.

Again, you and the rest of the bleeding hearts don't need to "save" him. This isn't about him, it's about how you feel. How you need to feel good about doing all that you can, to "save" someone. It's vapid and shallow.
