That dude had no business on air for that long. This guy and Van Pelt were on for a couple hours. With little script if any.

Clark had just referred to “life on the line” and “going to battle/war” and “I’d die for this” as cliches.

I’d stopped watching so I did not hear the rest. But they had already begun to talk in circles. And I’m sure all the while they are checking and ESPN is checking the socials media machine to see how a sentence might be problematic.

I remember Dan Rather and Tom Brokaw sounding foolish during Tienanmen Square. Constant coverage and running out of shite to say always happens. Even with trained journalists much less a jock.
