Don't get a spotting scope. It's big, heavy, expensive, and for you totally useless. They're good for deciding if you want to make a mile + stalk on an animal or not. Out of a boxstand you can easily decide whether to shoot or not shoot with regular 8x binoculars unless you are a 1200 yard shooter.
