There is an absolute need for migrant labor in this country. However, the flow of migrant labor must be regulated to prevent undocumented migrants from undermining the manual trades by flooding the labor market with workers who will work for substandard wages.

The real problem is US employers who want uncontrolled migrant labor to exploit to undercut the wage demands of American workers. That creates the economic incentive to come here and makes the uncontrolled flow a profit center for both the migrants and the US employers. That is the situation that must be addressed to change the situation.

This might be true in some industries but in others they do rather the Hispanic worker and willing to pay more to keep them in a competitive market because of the work ethic. So minimum wage is $7.25, you ain’t keeping a good worker at that.

I’d say good luck undercutting wages.
